Peter and Cara O'Brien

The O'Brien's met 32 years ago when Peter was summer interning at the Mansion on Turtle Creek, Dallas. Their love of food and wine along with a passion for living brought them together. Two beautiful children, two restaurants and a catering company later, along with living in some of the most beautiful parts of the United States, exploring different cultures and cuisines, their passions for good food and wine remains, along for their love of each other, family and friends.



Creating Memorable Events 

Peter founded High Mountain Cuisine with the idea of bringing his 30+ year culinary experience to Santa Fe. His culinary adventures have taken him from his early culinary beginnings as a prep-cook to Chef de Cuisine at Routh Street and Baby Routh, The Mansion on Turtle Creek and The Riviera. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America to executive Chef of prestigious restaurants and clubs across America, as well as, three businesses ranging from restaurants to catering.  The key to his successes has been his commitment to fresh simple cuisine whatever the discipline.  


Setting the stage. 

Cara O’Brien brings 20 years of professional restaurant, resort, special event and catering experience to High Mountain Cuisines management team and during the last five years in Santa Fe has developed her extensive sphere of influence by managing an exclusive high-end membership and orchestrating multiple private events annually in Santa Fe. She has established excellent relations with vendors and clients alike along with working collaboratively with fellow businesses in Santa Fe.
